Keep the cans—donate the pop tabs! Little pop tabs make a big difference for families with seriously sick children.

One of Ronald McDonald House Charities’ largest, ongoing fundraisers is collecting pop tabs for recycling. It's a great fundraising project for civic groups, schools, and churches. The money earned—100-percent of it—goes to an area Ronald McDonald House Charity. Ronald McDonald Houses provide a home away from home for families while a child receives extended medical treatment at the hospital.

Some people ask, "Why pop tabs? Why not the whole can?" The answer is that pop tabs are higher quality aluminum and are more valuable by weight. And because they are smaller and cleaner than the whole can, they're easier to store.

The Pop Tab fundraiser is a great way to start "Pulling for Ronald McDonald Houses." If your group is interested in the RMHC Pop Tab program, we can help by providing collection houses and ideas to get your effort off to a successful start. The tabs you collect can be dropped off at any Courtesy Corporation McDonald's restaurant.
